VTGA Tour - Week 10.,.. again....

 Whhaaat ? Recap on a Monday instead of a Friday ??? That’s because (insert drumroll here)…I WON A TEAM EVENT ! Well, technically Scott, Duncan and I won a team event but never let facts get in the way of a good story. Most accurately Duncan, although he sucked most of the day, won the match with a birdie on the 18^th hole, 1 UP.

·         Ed didn’t hit anyone this week and showed improvement, his group with Donald (birthday boy) and Michael (the ball machine, that sounds wrong) finished 2 holes ahead of the winning group.

·         I don’t know how Scott does it, but he now also holds the record for the longest putt (not made), 169 yds !

·         TruffleDawg scored a 10 on the 13^th hole !!

·         Ed, did you logon because your score is not showing in E6 online. Hope this didn’t mess up the match !

·         Lemur’s winning birdie was the only one all night !

·         Budweiser prohibition Brew isn’t that bad…but it’s not that good either.

Super Bowl next Sunday…

I don’t think they have TPC Scottsdale so we may play the Phoenix Country Club next week. Plenty of warning this time…who’s in (or out if you are a member) ?

VTGA Tour - Week 9

·         Crazy week 10, 9 golfers over 4 screens with Michael and Duncan doing their best to play in under an hour.

·         May not have been the greatest idea to use the randomizer app for team fairness, sorry.

·         Duncan with another 77 (77 is the new 59), 3^rd this year on the VTGA tour and 2 of them by Lemur.

·         Torrey Pines (I think they have it) to match this week’s PGA stop ? I’m sure we can play better than Tiger this week!

·         Didn’t even bother tabulating the Match scores, we all know who won.

VTGA Tour - Week 8

 Cabo del Sol Mexico was a pleasure ! Nice when your drives travel farther across the desert than the fairways (as long as you miss the rocks!)

·         Speaking of long drives, Scott has the VTGA record of 420 yds !!! His ball actually travelled 220 yds before hitting a rock made out of C4 and exploding 200 more yds down the fairway.

·         Annnddd….Michael then made him take a mulligan L

·         How does everyone else like the new rooster poop red ? Dom is going to get Keith’s red in a bottle sometime soon.

·         Ed Glithero was a replacement this week and his first swing saw him hit a guy 4 sim’s over in the back of the leg lol !!!

·         Scott is en fuego, bested his previous score by 21 shots with a 104 ! Somehow that doesn’t lower his handicap in E6. I don’t know what is going on with that web-site but a child can create a better one in an afternoon

·         Ank got his 2^nd round counted, one more for a handicap (probably a 4 or a 44..I just don’t know)

·         Packers – Patriots Super Bowl ?

·         Yours truly choked in the Team competition, 3 putting from 12 feet on the 17^th when we could have gone dormie. Once again I have never won a team competition and it’s not because my partners suck (It’s me baby !)

Who’s in this week ? Going to assume the 6 paid are in unless told otherwise. Anyone else joining ?

PS. Is everyone OK with a 5 or 5:30 pm starting time to allow our resident Cheesehead to travel to the course at half time ?

VTGA Tour - Week 7

·         Last week saw a return to Kapalua Plantation because I have the memory of a 51 year old.

·         Been slow with a recap because I’ve felt like crap all week, hope I didn’t make anyone else sick by showing up last Sunday.

·         A last minute appearance by Donald and his siblings ! I think Donald stole all of their golfing talents and that is why he is leading the VTGA tour !

·         REMINDER : Make sure you select stroke play or your scores won’t count towards a handicap.

·         Donald shot a 64 !! but played only 13 holes. Double bogeys for holes he didn’t play

·         Scott shot a 54 on the back 9 !

·         The new Red Beer tastes like a mixture of rooster poop and belly lint

·         Carveth 2 weeks in a row !!!

VTGA Tour - Week 6

·         First major of the year and I think we could all do with not playing from the tips at the next major. That was brutal.

·         Scott is not at work today, I think he is still shaking in bed from the 200+ carries

·         We need a vacation, how about next week Cabo del Sol. Mexico ? (From the Men’s tees)

·         My groupings for the team competition worked exactly as planned…muuuhhhaaa

·         I think the machines must measure how good your swing looks because Matt continues to rip it up.

·         Ank was better than his 1^st appearance on tour, seems Matt is playing the ‘heater’ role to my ‘cooler’ role (you’re welcome Duncan and Marty).

·         Next week’s game is Sunday at 6pm, the same time as Giants – Packers game. C’mon Carveth, cheer on your team against Michael’s cheese eaters.

·         Scott still needs a VTGA Tour nickname, I heard a couple last night but let’s hear some suggestions as a group.

·         We need to find a way to have all groups finish around the same time so…next week Michael plays with Scott ! (no offense Scott, it would take me longer to play if I shot a 149 J)
